Mishell Thielen is a migrant from Venezuela who moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2017 to seek asylum. While in Venezuela Mishell studied civil engineering. Now, she is learning to manage her studies at Wake Technical Community College while also working as a nanny in order to make ends meet.
