Hailey Orgass received a suboccipital craniotomy for the resection of a benign cerebellar tumor called an epidermoid cyst. The cyst was aproximately the size of a tangerine. Much of the hair near the operation site has already begun to grow back, almost covering the two-and-a-half inch scar left from the incision.
Two weeks after the operation, Hailey was cleared to start walking and taking small trips around town. She has since split her recovery time between walking through East Rock Park, visiting art museums and coffee shops, and napping. Atticus Bookstore Cafe, where she is currently seen holding a cup of coffee, is one of her favorite coffee shops. Because of its adjoined bookstore, she can enjoy her coffee while she reads.
